MACOHA was established by an Act of Parliament, the Handicapped Persons Act 1971 Cap: 33:02) as a statutory corporation. Its mission is to implement government policies by providing rehabilitation programmes and services and promoting public interest for the empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities so that they can live an independent life and contribute to the development of the country
